G E N E R A L
--> Follow the PROBOARDS RULES at ALL times! This includes being at the age of 13 or over, keeping site content at Pg-13 or lower, and refraining from using other people's artwork without their permission.
--> Do what a staff member tells you to do even if it wasn't mentioned here in the rules
--> Respect everyone, including yourself. This means all staff, members, guests and trolls alike. Okay, well, you won't get in trouble if even the staff members are poking fun at a troll too, but remember to be polite and respect other people's opinions, even it doesn't agree with your own. If a member is found being rude, prejudiced, racist, or condescending to anyone, they will be warned to cease their actions. If it happens again, the offender will be banned.
--> Please try your best not to start fights. We will shoot any fight-starters on sight. If a fight starts, or members start hatin', we will immediately ask them to cease, or get out. In pms, we will be happy to hear you out, but please keep your fights only in pms or ims out of tsn.
--> Swearing is not encouraged, but not illegal. But please don't do it excessively.
--> No pornographic content. No exceptions. Posters of porn will be shot on sight. Survivors will be shot again.
--> No spamming, anywhere. Enough said, right?
--> You must have an artist's permission before using his or her artwork anywhere. If we find unauthorized artwork being posted here that could get the site closed down, we will remove it immediately with no question asked.
--> Advertising may only be done in the Advertising board, nowhere else. This includes the chatbox, your signature, everywhere.
O U T O F C H A R A C T E R
--> Image size limits are 575x1000; Avatar size limits are 100x100. Also, please don't let your signature stretch in height more than 400px.
--> This is a one-account-per-character site. That means, for every character you create, you must create an account with that character's name as your display name.
--> There is no requirement for activity, but it is highly appreciated when members log in once a day if not only to say hello and goodbye. There is no minimum post limit per week, however, it is encouraged that you show at least some signs of activity by logging in, so that we don't think you've left us. After a month of inactivity - not logging in - without leaving a message in the absence board, your characters will treated as if they died of sickness, or as if they never existed, depending on whether they were active in many plots or not.
--> High positions must be active. Please be prepared to give an effort to be active when making the choice of creating a character with a high position, such as leader, deputy, medicine cat, or medicine cat apprentice. We understand that even the greatest roleplayer has his or her off-muse days, but we will expect you to always give your best effort to be active and to reply to important threads. If you create a character but just can't find the muse to reply to important threads, and are slowing us down in the site-wide plots, then we may ask you to find a way to kill off your character, retire your character of their position, or to give up your character for adoption.
--> Users with characters of high positions will be stripped of their rank if they have not logged in for over two weeks and have not posted in the absence board! if you post in the absence board, but find yourself unable to reply to an important thread for a month, we may ask you to give up your high position in favor of a more active roleplayer in order to keep the site plot moving. If no roleplaying has commenced since the creation of an inactive high position's character, then that character may simply become a warrior again.
--> All new accounts that do not make 1 post in 2 weeks will be deleted. This is simply to avoid spam accounts.
--> There is no limit on how many characters you create, however we expect you to be prepared to handle them all and keep every one of them active.
I N C H A R A C T E R
--> We do not allow Mary Sue/Gary Sue characters. If you don't know what that is, feel free to ask, or go google it.
--> You may only create cat characters unless bought from the Catnip Shop. We also do not allow cat-ish characters like asheras, or wild cats.First part of password:DINO You need to have a good reason for any character that is a purebreed, or rare, such as hairless cats, which most likely couldn't survive in the wild anyway.
--> Each person may only roleplay a maximum of 1 Leader/Deputy and 1 Medicine Cat/Med. Cat Apprentice. Few exceptions may exist, but only in the rarest occasions with permission from the majority of the staff members.
-->To audition for a high position, simple create your character. Anyone else who wishes to audition may also audition, and the staff will decide who gets it. Other than that, we go by first-come-first-serve, expecting that you are prepared to be more involved than with just a normally ranked character.
--> Follow the given template when making your character's application. If you do not follow the rules in creating your character, it will not be accepted. Plain and simple. But we will tell you what needs to change, so please don't feel bad if your character was not accepted.
--> You may not roleplay your character until its application has been accepted. You are welcome to grab a staff member from the chatbox, or pm a staff member to take a look at your application and accept/reject it.
R O L E P L A Y I N G
--> You must have the other person's permission to kill or maim their character. No, you may not go around kicking people without their permission. Even if they deserve it.
--> No power-playing or god-modding. If a staff member tells you that your character's actions are getting into god-modding and asks you to change your posts, please do so without arguing. If you feel that a staff member is being unfair, please pm another staff member or Shizuka about it.
--> 100 words per post is the word limit! Few exceptions may be made if you're having a hard time outside of the roleplaying world, but only with a staff member's permission.
--> Use third person, past tense. No exceptions. We are forgiving, however, and will ask kindly tell you to use third person, past tense, if needed.
--> We use liquid time here at TSN. Make sure to write in the first posts of a thread whether it is before or after certain major plot thread, as well as where it is in time in relation to other threads your character or the other characters are in.
--> Please name thread titles appropriately. Make sure to say whether the thread is open or private, and if private, say who all is allowed to post there.
--> Please mark finished threads as [FINISHED] when the thread is finished so that a staff member may move it to the archives.
--> No auto-hitting other characters in a fight. You may attempt the attack, but the other character decides whether they are hit or not. Dodging every single attack that comes at your character is heavily frowned upon, and may be considered god-modding, unless you have a good reason for it, and have said so through roleplay. Receiving no damage from an attack that hits is straight out god-modding.
--> Make sure to follow the settings. If it is winter, don't write about how warm and sunny it is. If you're in Thunderclan, don't tell us there's a roaring river going right through the territory. And don't suddenly dig up a relic from ancient cat civilizations, unless of course it is a part of a staff-approved plot. Full descriptions about the territories can be found on that board's description.
--> No graphic mating scenes. You must fade to black even the decision is made to make/force love. This site is Pg-13, and we will not allow any content of any type over that limit.
--> Forbidden relationships are allowed. But understand that your character is doing what they are doing at their own risk. If your character is caught in an open thread with their forbidden partner, they are fully at risk to any consequences the leader sees fit. This of course excludes execution, as the roleplayer's permission must be given to have their character killed off.
--> If your character and someone else's character are ready to have kittens, please receive your litter from a staff member in the Kitting Business board. After receiving your kittens and having them adopted out, you must wait a season before birthing.
--> Female characters may only have 1 litter per three seasons. For health purposes, and because they will be taking care of their kittens.
--> No breeding before 7 months of age. This is when cats naturally reach sexual maturity anyway.
--> Gatherings, Medicine Cat Moonpool trips, and Season changes will be made by the staff. Mentors can take their apprentices to the Moonpool whenever they feel like it.
--> Otm Nominations start on the 20th and Voting begins and ends on the 25th to the first of the month.
--> Once a mentor has been assigned to an apprentice, or vice-versa, they may begin roleplaying immediately as mentor and apprentice. If an apprentice has no preference for a mentor,Second part of password:RAWR the leader of that clan, or a staff member, will assign a mentor.
-->For each post, you receive 10 Treats.
