the territory northeast of the lake is where the cats of thunderclan make their home. in almost every square meter of the territory, have tall deciduous trees create a protective roof over your head, and covering almost every square meter of ground is thick undergrowth which the cats of thunderclan use to their advantage in everyday life.

in the southeastern area from the lake, the windclan territory is easily characterized by its endless rolling hills with no trees in sight. out in the open on the boundless moors, windclan cats are at home-free. the land is covered in tall grass, plentiful in rabbits. the wind and the tree-less moors are the heart and soul of windclan. the wind almost never ceases to blow. they share a northern border with thunderclan being the river leading to the moonpool, even though a strip of forest actually lies on windclan's side of the river.

southwest of the lake, the riverclan territory is characterized by lush trees of many types, especially willows, and streams swimming with plentiful fish. the land itself is mainly marshy and fertile, creating a haven for riverclan cats, and for no other clan, making nearly the whole of the territory easily defensible. to the north is a thunderpath creating the border with shadowclan, leading to an odd twoleg place where twolegs come during greenleaf to play on the halfbridge and in their water monsters. although they are to the west of windclan, they actually do not share a common border with each other, being divided by a thick border consisting of hazardous marsh, the horseplace, and the twoleg place right beside it.

northwest of the lake lies shadowclan's territory. very unlike their marsh territory back in the old forest, the territory by the lake is a dry land covered thickly by pine trees, creating a soft bed of pine needles covering nearly every square meter of land, the better for stalking without a sound.

off of riverclan's territory and surrounded on all four sides by the vast lake that marks the lake territories is a small island with a few trees where the four clans go to hold their monthly gatherings. a log leads out from riverclan's shore to the island, creating a dry bridge straight to the island. in the center of the island is a clearing where trees with large branches can be found. the leaders sit upon these branches when addressing the clans.
